James Denton, GoodFor’s founder, wanted to allow people an opportunity to make a difference with their shopping.
GoodFor began in 2017 with a clear vision – to allow people the opportunity to shop waste-free. Now, having just celebrated their 3rd birthday and about to open their 7th store at Stoneridge, it’s clear that an ever-increasing number of Kiwis are backing them in their vision.
GoodFor is a plastic-free refillery where you can stock up on pantry essentials and household items while avoiding the unnecessary packaging you often find in supermarkets. People simply bring in their own containers and jars, or use the store paper bags, to fill up with their usual groceries.
“We want to change the culture around unnecessary packaging and waste,” explains Tessa Mak, GoodFor’s Marketing Manager. “We love to help educate people and provide them choices, both for their own health and for the environment.”
James Denton, GoodFor’s founder, wanted to allow people an opportunity to make a difference with their shopping. 80% of GoodFor’s product are organic and the team are looking forward to launching their new NZ native tree programme soon.
Stoneridge on Lunn felt like the final piece of the puzzle for GoodFor to fulfil a known demand for their waste-free offering. The team are keen to meet their new locals and are so stoked to be part of such a conscious community. The Stoneridge store will be open weekdays from 10am – 7pm and weekends from 10am – 6pm and anybody is welcome to come in and learn more about their vision.
“People are so responsive to what we’re trying to achieve,” says Tessa. “We’re excited to have a whole new group of shoppers helping to make a difference by joining us at our Stoneridge store.”
Please note GoodFor will be opening their Stoneridge store on Friday the 5th of June.
